Yerik is the Data Engineering Manager for the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT, leading the development of scalable data platforms and pipelines that drive AI innovation. His work fuels transformative impact across EIT’s initiatives while paving the way for future AI breakthroughs.

Before joining EIT, Yerik was a Lead Data Engineer at Amazon Prime Video, spearheading GenAI projects and establishing the company’s first sports metadata and analytics pipelines. With experience spanning Big Tech, AI startups, and consulting, he brings a proven track record of driving data engineering excellence and AI innovation across diverse industries.

Yerik holds an MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College London and a Finance degree from the University of Nottingham. His technical and strategic expertise is further reinforced by professional certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Machine Learning Specialist, and the CIMA Business Accounting Certificate.

Outside of work, Yerik enjoys playing squash and tennis and maintains a consistent workout routine. He is also learning Spanish and has kept an impressive 1,000-day streak on Duolingo.
