A cutting-edge R&D facility
EIT is based across the Oxford Science Park and Littlemore, where we are building a world-class research and development facility. Set for completion in 2027, our new campus is designed to allow world leading experts to do their best thinking and their best work.
It will house over 30,000m² of research laboratories, educational and meeting spaces and a Clinic – a centre for innovation and healthcare excellence.
Building alliances for impact
To achieve progress on humanity’s enduring challenges, we need many different changemakers all pulling in the same direction. Our partnerships are crucial to delivering on our mission, embedding us within a wider ecosystem of expertise and resources, working collaboratively to bring solutions from the lab to global scale.
EIT and the University of Oxford have a strategic alliance to facilitate connection and collaboration between the University’s leading researchers and students, and EIT’s campus of scientists and entrepreneurs – seeing some take up dual appointments. As part of the partnership, EIT will invest at least £100m in joint ventures aiming to tackle global challenges.
One of our unique advantages is our cross-cutting capabilities and access to the latest technology. Our partnership with Oracle equips us with substantial computing capability, as well as high-performance computing and cloud services. This in turn fuels our in-house AI and Data platform, which works to embed AI and machine learning solutions across all our programs.
The African Clinical Research Network (ACRN) is focused on strengthening Africa’s biomedical and life sciences industry. The network aims to enhance Africa’s ability to conduct public health, epidemiological and interventional studies while fostering local scientific leadership and operational excellence. ACRN is supported through grants from the Gates Foundation and EIT. We are also providing technological support to enhance ACRN’s digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless research coordination and data management.
