Sofia Ferreira is a Senior Product Manager within the Pathogen Program at EIT. With a scientific background, she partners with cross-functional teams to develop tools that address real user needs in the infectious disease space. She collaborates closely with scientists, engineers, and designers to shape products, improve user journeys, and ensure the tools are both impactful and easy to adopt in clinical and research settings.

Sofia holds a PhD in Biotechnology, specialising in microbiology and life sciences. She previously worked at Refeyn as Director of Applications, leading product development from proof of concept to market. Before joining EIT, she was a Scientific Business Analyst in the life sciences software sector, helping teams streamline R&D workflows.

Outside of work, Sofia enjoys exploring new handcraft activities and is currently developing her skills in silversmith jewellery making. Her favourite activity, however, is drinking coffee with friends.
