Shaun Danielli

Prior to EIT, Shaun’s career was a game of two halves. He spent the first 15 years in systems engineering and improvement in industry (Airbus) and consultancy (Cranfield Management Centre & PA Consulting). In 2006 he transitioned to apply these skills to the NHS and public sector (Guys and St Thomas’, NHS London, Greater London Authority). During the last 19 years he has led large scale transformation and policy programmes, including working with Lord Darzi on proposals to improve health and healthcare in London for then Mayor Boris Johnson and Director for the Health Secretary imposed Trust Special Administrator programme. In 2015 he was asked to establish an organisation (Healthy London Partnership), comprising programme, policy change and communication professionals, on behalf of the Mayor, NHS, and Councils, to support the capital become the healthiest global city. For the last 5 years, Shaun has been Director of Population Health and Equity at Kings Health Partners and NHS South East London.

Shaun holds a MSc (by research) in systems improvement from Cranfield University and a PhD from Imperial College where his research focused on urban health & healthcare transformation.

Outside of EIT, Shaun enjoys running, swimming, triathlons (all pretty slowly…) and family time. He recovered and restored a 1964 Lambretta and still dreams of doing similar for a TR6. He is also a Trustee of London Sport, Policy Fellow at IGHI (Imperial) and Researcher in Residence for the Mayor of London.
