Nasrine Metic is a Data Scientist for the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT, passionate about leveraging digital solutions to create meaningful change in healthcare, and eager to expand her work into other complex societal challenges. In her role, she focuses on developing AI-driven models through cross-disciplinary collaborations to support the advancement of EIT’s programs. Her work integrates cutting-edge machine learning techniques with domain expertise to deliver impactful, data-driven insights.

Prior to joining EIT, Nasrine was a Data Scientist at Barts Cancer Institute and obtained her PhD in Cancer Bioinformatics from Queen Mary University of London, focused on identifying spatial patterns in colorectal cancer liver metastases. She also contributed to the development of an AI-driven diagnostic tool at an early-stage precision medicine startup in Switzerland, helping clinicians predict diagnoses and guide treatment decisions for rare blood cancers. Her multidisciplinary background spans healthcare, biology, cancer, and machine learning.

Outside of work, Nasrine enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, traveling, cooking and spending time with her partner and friends.
