Jade Hartley

Jade is a Software Engineer for the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT, and is passionate about AI for social good.

Prior to joining EIT, she was a platform engineer for UnlikelyAI, a deep tech startup developing a neurosymbolic approach to explainable and trustworthy AI. She previously completed internships at Google in both privacy and financial AI research.

During university, Jade centred her thesis on AI bias & risk auditing in collaboration with an AI governance startup, Holistic AI. She was also a lead organiser of ClimateHack.AI, a global hackathon for climate change that brought together 25 universities, and served as an ethics/DEI board member for UCL Computer Science.

Outside of work, Jade loves travelling, dog sitting, and exploring the London food and live music scene.
